Royal Albert Hall

The Royal Albert Hall was built as a memorial to Queen Victoria's husband in 1871 and has been in constant use since, being perhaps best known for being the venue for where the Proms have been held since 1941.

Contrary to what you might expect, the Royal Albert Hall is very much a multipurpose building, having been used for everything from basketball and sumo wrestling competitions, to scientific exhibitions and award ceremonies – truly above and beyond its musical foundations.
